Accessibility

This site is designed to be accessible to the widest possible audience.

  • All pictures include 'alt' text if they convey information, so that those using text-only browsers or screen readers do not miss anything significant.
  • Text-size is specified in relative terms, to make it easy for users to change it to the size they are most comfortable with; in newer versions of Internet Explorer, go to View > Text Size and simply choose the size which you find most comfortable to read. Other browsers provide similar methods.
  • All pages use high contrast to make them easier to read.
  • The site is coded in strict xhtml/css and complies to W3C standards.
  • Care is taken to ensure that all links make sense when read out of context.
