The Gathering 2009 has teamed up with one of Scotland's largest vehicle rental companies, Arnold HighlandClark, to help you make the most of your time in Scotland. We are conscious of the affects of recent economic downturn and the cost of fuel in the UK, which we also know is of concern to many of you coming to Edinburgh next year. Therefore, thanks to Arnold Clark, we are pleased to offer visitors to The Gathering 2009 an exclusive discount on car rental.

Broadcast News!

Lord Sempill has not just been busy visiting Highland Games across the globe, he has also been hard at work in Edinburgh making people aware of The Gathering 2009, and may soon be appearing on a screen near you!

He was interviewed by reporter Rachel MacGregor with cameraman Leander Scott-Donelan, for a feature on Good Morning which airs on TV One in New Zealand. We are not sure exactly when this will be transmitted, but we believe it will be after the Olympic Games, so stay tuned!

Jamie also met video journalist Aurélia Michon at the headquarters of Kinloch Anderson, the foremost experts in Highland dress, in Edinburgh. He chatted about the history of the clans and Deirdre Kinloch Anderson imparted her knowledge of tartan for the travel and discovery programme, Echappées Belles. This will be shown on France 5 and TV5Monde in September.
