MAKING A PURCHASE:
Making a purchase online via our secure server could not be easier. Just browse our online shop and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart.
After you have finished your selection, click on "Proceed to Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. Payment can be made by Visa (not Electron), MasterCard, American Express, Switch, Maestro or Solo. If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
BACK ORDERS:
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
PAYMENT:
Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard or Maestro. Credit/Debit card details will be used to finance the purchase, any transaction costs and the postage and packing charges.
Tickets are subject to an £0.80 booking charge per ticket.
TAX CHARGES:
All prices include 17.5% VAT (where applicable). Currently we do not offer VAT Exemption to overseas customers or specific geographical regions.
POSTAGE/PACKING AND DELIVERY:
All goods are sent in padded envelopes or specially made packaging. (Please see returns section for loss or damage). Parcels are sent at a maximum weight of 2kg, above this weight the goods will be split into separate parcels up to weight of 2 kg each.
UK deliveries are packed and processed as soon as possible and sent Inland 2nd Class packet post. We reserve the right to a full 28 day delivery but in practice this is most unlikely. Out with our busiest times orders are normally processed within 5-7 days.
European orders are sent airmail and can vary in delivery depending on their destination. Normal service to EC is 7-9 days from date of postage.
Mail to non EC/Rest of world addresses is sent airmail packet post and in normal circumstances will reach you in 7-14 days.
In all cases mail delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
LOSS
In the case of goods failing to arrive we will supply replacement copies or items ordered. Please allow a suitable time lapse to allow for the possibility of a late delivery before contacting this office.
GUARANTEE:
We guarantee your satisfaction. All our products come with a 30 day guarantee.
RETURNS POLICY:
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm
In the event of goods arriving damaged we will replace items on receipt of the damaged goods and not before. In the event of goods being faulty, we will replace goods or refund items on receipt of the faulty items. You must notify The Gathering 2009 in writing (ie. letter, fax or email) of all damage or faults to goods no later than 5 days after their arrival. In all cases goods must be returned to the The Gathering 2009 to claim against UK postal services.

COOLING OFF PERIOD (UK and EU Customers Only)
You are entitled to a cooling off period of 7 working days. This period is to allow you the opportunity you would have had in a conventional shop to examine the goods. Your cooling off period ends seven working days after the day of receipt of the goods. If you wish to return the goods to us within this period then all original packaging must be intact and you must pay all postage costs.

Our Data Protection Registration Number is Z1042113 and we are registered as The Gathering 2009 as in accordance with current data protection legislation.
In order to provide you with the best service we can, we collect certain personal information about you. When you purchase merchandise via the site, we need to collect information about you to process the transaction and fulfill your order. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name, your address and your credit/debit card details.
We may also use the information to process any transactions you undertake with us and for internal administration and analysis. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
HIGHLAND GAMES TICKETS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions from time to time which will take effect from the date of posting on the website. Your continued use of the site will mark your acceptance of any changes to the terms and conditions. In these terms and conditions, the term Event shall mean the event known as The Gathering 2009 to be held in Edinburgh from 24th to 26th July 2009 and the term Ticket shall mean a ticket for the Event.
- Each customer is limited to a total of six tickets. Group bookings of more than six tickets will be handled on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of us.
- Ticket dispatch will commence three months before the Event. Tickets purchased after this dispatch date will be dispatched within twenty eight days of receipt of the relevant order. We are not able to be specific with exact dates of dispatch so please allow as much time as possible for your tickets to arrive. Tickets purchased less than seven days before the Event (twenty one days for non-UK addresses) will be held for collection at The Gathering 2009 Box Office in Holyrood Park, open a week prior to and during the Event.
- Tickets purchased from us are non-refundable and non-exchangeable from the moment that the transaction is completed. In all circumstances, any booking or postage fee is non-refundable. Tickets bought through an agent are subject to the terms and conditions of that agent.
- By ordering tickets via our website, you as purchaser represent and warrant that the ticket is purchased for personal use only, and that it is not purchased as part of any form of business or commercial activity (save as expressly authorised by us and/or its agents), and in particular, that the ticket may not be resold or offered for resale by anyone whether at a premium or otherwise and may not be used for advertising, promotion or for any other trade purposes. Resale or attempted resale at a price higher than that printed herein is grounds for seizure or cancellation; this includes, for the avoidance of doubt, any publication via the internet or any other means with the intent to resell for commercial gain.
- There is no cooling-off period for tickets purchased for the Event.
- For orders placed for postal delivery and not received, we will arrange an alternative means of fulfilling the order. You should contact us in good time to inform us of orders not received, by telephoning our office.
- In the event of any part of the Event being cancelled through any event or circumstance beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, war, act of terrorism, crime and act of nature including inclement weather, money will not be refunded.
- If you are unable to attend we will attempt to resell tickets for an administration fee of £2.50 per ticket. Resale of tickets will not commence until all of our own stock of tickets has been sold. Resale is not guaranteed.
- The management reserves the right of admission to the Event and the Event programme is subject to alteration. Your personal belongings and baggage shall be subject to search on admission to the Event.
- Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the Event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
- Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience
- Tickets are subject to a £ 0.80 online booking fee per ticket.
